September 21st, 2007 by Andrew CunninghamThe Community Languages Online report has been published on the eGovernment Resource Centre.
The report explores current practice and future directions of multilingual information on Victorian Government websites. It details findings and recommendations from research into how multilingual web-based government information can be created and used in the best way for culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.

Hi Peter, you didn’t indicate which operating system you use. For Windows XP, you could use Keyman Desktop and a Nuer keyboard package, see http://www.tavultesoft.com/keyman/downloads/keyboards/details.php?KeyboardID=386
A Win32 style keyboard layout is also available at
http://www.openroad.net.au/languages/african/nuer/msklc-nuer14.zip
Also have access to a keyboard layout for the Mac OS X.
You will need to download and install appropriate fonts for Nuer, and if you are using Windows XP, you will need to enable complex script support on your computer.
Have a look at http://www.openroad.net.au/dev/wiki/doku.php/african/start for further information.

Hi Shiela,
I’m not familiar with any AAT fonts suitable for Nuer. Best option is to install OpenType fonts. The following fonts should be suitable:
http://www.openroad.net.au/dev/wiki/doku.php/african/windows_xp_service_pack_2#fonts
Not sure of the status of OT support on latest versions of the Mac. In the past OT support differed between various applications.
I’ll try to dig up the MacOS Nuer keyboard layout i have laying around.
